I’ve just finished reading a mammoth - three inches thick ( 80cm) volume , entitled
The Defence of the Realm - An Authorised History of MI5 , which in a nutshell - details the goings on of the secret service in the U.K., since the very late 1800’s to the present , and it goes…..
……Germany – Russia – Germany – Russia - Ireland – Al Qaeda……. :)
…………Now there’s an edit and a half…100 years in six words ….. :)
To be honest - regardless of how this type of organisation is dressed up , the whole reason for the existence of any internal Security Service in any country is to keep the populous in check for their political masters…………sad but true …………...
This fact, which is certainly not hidden in the book , but in my opinion is very overly romanticised , includes - targeting pacifists in the First World War , to more recently - strike breaking – anyone mention the current and ongoing B.A.
dispute ……… :)
The policy itself is fairly simple , and mainly seems to centre around categorising people in to various heinous groups , be they Communists , Fascists or more recently - Terrorists, and if this failed - just throw a character slight at the victims , like calling people a scare crow or a tramp , and just remember this is an officially sanctioned book these particular slights are written in.
The next part of the process is you then pass this intelligence ( sic) on to your political friends , who of course – believe every word of it - sanction your actions - and away you go…………war ………or indeed ……….torture city …………….

I do notice that the female - anti nuclear protestors at Greenham Common only warranted a very small paragraph in this massive volume ,which is very odd considering what they achieved in the end with their own tenacity.
Now this lot were labelled – subversives !!! , but with no Communist , Fascist or indeed Terrorist links , which must be a nightmare for our unelected high and mighty , so they instantly became …………..

Hit the Snooze............
I think I must have done a Rip Van Winkle , and went to sleep for eight months , as its now pitch black in the morning due to the clocks going forward an hour to help our brave chaps - fighting for King and country :) ( The First World War being the original reason for daylight saving ) , and now I hear that snow is forecast for the next few days ………………!!!!....................
I really did think , that Winter was probably coming to an end , but to be honest , I should have know better as regards the weather , as it’s the two early bank holidays in the U.K. on Friday and next Monday , which usually means the end of the world as regards storms - here :)
So here’s a few words to remind us all , that maybe - Winter is not yet over ………

Tukoes Wani- Bound
I think my Tukoes Wani question – yesterday , had a few people scratching their heads , so I’d like to prolong the agony - even further :) , by giving you a few more clues …………….

Ok this is a very little known place as I’ve said - with a very strange language and bizarre sets of customs that only its inhabitants seem to be able to speak , or even carry out - properly .
Society has developed in total isolation for over 1000 years, with the tribal inhabitants only venturing out from their small island to fight the rest of the world - once in a while, and for maybe the odd little bit of conquest.
The spoils of which , are always handed back at the end of the day, in compliance with tribal teachings :)
So does The United Kingdom of England , Scotland , Wales and Northern Ireland
ring any bells , as in the first letter of every word ………

What's in a Name
I was looking at all the various countries on Google Earth the other day - after finding an embarrassing street shot of one of my female friends - backsides, putting up a sign in their shop …………WOOOOPS..………..and I didn’t break my neck to point this out to her………………honest…………. :)
I don’t know if its just me , but I do prefer the old fashioned names for places , for example - Persia , Mesopotamia , Constantinople , Mauritania , Hispaniola and of course - England :) ….. to name but a few , and this is probably because these older names paint a picture as regards these places , that their modern counterparts do not - for some reason .
Take –
The United Kingdom of England , Scotland , Wales and Northern Ireland .which is the full name of the U.K., is a bit of a mouthful at the best of times , never mind - sounding like an autocracy in a sci fi novel ………..
……hmmmm….. saying nothing here ……..19…8…….4…. :)
So - I then had a quick scan around all the very small islands dotted around the
world , and if they actually had names ,I’d never really heard of them , especially a very obscure one - called ………..
………Tukoes Wani…….pronounced …….Too- keyos Wah’ni ……
……..which apparently means in English……Violent Isolated Race …
………….so don’t go there for your holidays :)
Anyway …...I’m willing to bet you’ve never heard of that one – have you :)
So go break out Google Earth , and see if you can find it …………………
Now …could it be in the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean , lapped by azure seas…..?
…….sheltering near the poles - covered in ice - eight months of the year ……?
……..or possibly a newly created - island state off Africa…………?

I don’t know if its just me , but I do prefer the old fashioned names for places , for example - Persia , Mesopotamia , Constantinople , Mauritania , Hispaniola and of course - England :) ….. to name but a few , and this is probably because these older names paint a picture as regards these places , that their modern counterparts do not - for some reason .
Take –
The United Kingdom of England , Scotland , Wales and Northern Ireland .which is the full name of the U.K., is a bit of a mouthful at the best of times , never mind - sounding like an autocracy in a sci fi novel ………..
……hmmmm….. saying nothing here ……..19…8…….4…. :)
So - I then had a quick scan around all the very small islands dotted around the
world , and if they actually had names ,I’d never really heard of them , especially a very obscure one - called ………..

……..which apparently means in English……Violent Isolated Race …
………….so don’t go there for your holidays :)
Anyway …...I’m willing to bet you’ve never heard of that one – have you :)

Stay off the Grid.............
The book / film 1984 is referenced quiet a lot in my writing for some reason.
I’m not sure why , as the storyline itself is of a totally and utterly depressing world and its oppressed by the government - inhabitants .
Saying that - I do think it does hold a key message –in that we simply cannot allow ourselves to get in that situation - probably by default………..
…………………..sleepwalking in to the future ………..
The storylines premise - that ….“ big brother is watching you” ….in my opinion is now looking like a harsh reality – today , simply because of what you are sitting staring in to at this very moment …………..cyberspace…… .
I’ve got no doubt that the ability to track its citizens actions , is of course every governments dream , but in a twist of irony we actually all allow it to happen by simply using a computer - me included .
Now with this in mind - I noticed that the government in the U.K. have been promising broadband internet for everyone in the country over the past few years , and what with people complaining a few years ago about Microsoft programming - access doors in to all of its operating programs – it does make me think ……………
I don’t think this is in the realm of conspiracy theories , from my point of view - merely facts , and there is of course a worldwide implication for all of this , with the fact you could have authorities from all over the world having the ability , to look in to your personal life , if they so choose
1984 itself was about groups of countries or blocs, and I just wonder if reality itself has taken this dystopian ideal one step further in to a worldwide scenario ……….
Just a thought……………….but as you have probably all realised by the title……..

I recently saw a program recently that featured modern art , and of course it had our two British darlings of Modernity - Damien Hirst and Tracey Ermin – featured , and this reminded me to say - I eventually went to see Damien’s Pharmacy Exhibit at our local gallery .
This exhibit actually consisted of a load of cabinets filled with pill bottles , and four plates of some kind of fibreglass material on plinths , although Trace’s new work was a jerky stop frame animation of a woman masturbating ……charming …!!!...
…………………….and hence the title………………….. :)
Now were back to the wisdom , which I usually attach to modern art , . and it goes ...
………………… “ its only art if it has no other use “ ……………
……..and of course I’m willing to take this thesis on a little further in saying –
I do agree with the above statement.

The thing is - if you then sell the piece of art , it instantly becomes a commodity , i.e. something for sale., so I reckon it can only be real art if its purely for exhibition purposes and not for sale – if you see what I mean :)

1 in 4 Politicians Prefer Whiskas
Well the very , very “ sad “ news reaches me last week - that one in four of our “wonderful “ politicians , are now saying they would not have even entered a career in politics if they knew how “ badly” they were going to be treated over the recent expenses scandal in the U.K. .
Which , to my mind , is rather like saying ……. criminals wouldn’t have chosen their particular career if they knew they were going to end up in jail , and this has got to be a very apt analogy – considering .
Now - I’m just wondering if they are really stupid enough to come out with this statement by themselves , or someone has told them to do it , because bearing in mind all that has gone before - its not really a bright thing to do – is it.?
Especially as they have just voted themselves a nice …£1000 …….pay rise ……!!! .
Sorry about using the cat food advert as a title , but the 1in 4 aspect just seemed to fit, and as all cat owners , myself included will tell you - cats are all very ruthless and self centred as a rule , but extremely charming - when they actually want something……
…………..usually food ………..or maybe a vote at the next election …….:)

Now as you all know I tend to set off to work very , very early , and today was the first day the sun was actually up on my journey , just briefly – mind , but enough to bathe the land in gold – momentarily………………
This early in the morning , their tends to be no one else around , and just at the instant the sun came up it was very quiet , prompting an only person on earth moment , and It actually looked like the top of the trees were fleetingly on fire.
This, as I’ve said in the past , tends to only happen a few times a year due to the position of the sun , and I unfortunately forgot my camera today , but seeing as our crackpot system of daylight saving comes in on Sunday, I’ll maybe have another go next week , and it will be “hilarious” riding along on my mountain bike DSLR slung around my neck :)
….the sweeping gold of the land , sets flame to naked bough , in a vista of silence ….
…………………WOOOOPS ……carried away……yet again ……:)

Anyway - talking of metal , my sister bought me a nice new Metallica t shirt last Xmas , and it very mysteriously - spontaneously combusted - today , and hence the title :)
I was sat outside of work wearing the aforementioned t shirt - a few weeks ago - doing something with my mountain bike at lunch time , when this middle aged guy in a suit came up and engaged me in a conversation about the band for quiet a long
time , which is fair enough , and I though nothing else of it – until today - that is :)
I’m a Union Rep’ as you all know , and I am very , very occasionally summoned to converse with the hierarchy - mainly when they are pretending to keep staff informed of events :) , and this particular one - being the introduction of a new director.
Now un be known to me this new director , had actually announced the fact he liked rock on our works intranet , and particularly – Metallica , so you can all guess who the new director was ……………yes my new “mate” from a few weeks ago…………
My own work colleagues had of course cottoned on to this fact , so when I got back , to the office , it was the old -
……“when are you off to the Metallica gig with the Director – then “ :)
………and it was at this point that my t shirt actually ……………….
…………………….spontaneously combusted ………………..!!! ..
………….and as I say - that is ….very....very …. mysterious :)
So now its off to the internet, to source a nice new , but very, very obscure - replacement , and I’m thinking underground Japanese – black metal – here :)
……………..hmmmmm……think I’d better get a fire extinguisher while I’m
there …….…..you never know …………….:)

Gods of Rust
Now - I was thinking about the music I personally like the other day , and being a D.J.
I gotta say it encompasses a fairly wide spectrum , but my first and personal love has got to be ……..
………………..M E T A L ………….!!!!!
Don’t ask me why - its probably genetic :) , as this type of music could have only have originated here in The U.K. – absolutely nowhere else , and I’m further reminded of this fact by the upcoming – absolutely awful - Eurovision Song Contest , although our very own entry’s are certainly not, and never have been - indicative of the music scene in the U.K.- either.
The origins of Punk are of course hotly disputed, as some say here in the U.K. , and some say the U.S., but like metal you have to define what it actually is to get an answer.

Open Fire
Guns are something I don’t really have strong opinions on either way except - they are probably in my opinion - a necessary evil.
That aside – you may not know that - guns in the U.K. were probably just as common here , as in the U.S.A in the early part of the century.
Well that was until our government decide that they didn’t really want a revolution , so they took them off everyone.
To be perfectly honest - revolution has never really been in the blood of people here in the U.K. , and this is probably because we cannot be bothered with all the aggravation that goes with it :) , but I always reckon if your citizens have the right to own fully automatic weapons , it may make a modern government think twice about its actions :)
Although I think you can probably still legally own a bow and arrow in the U.K. - but don’t quote me on that :)
English Washing Powder

Hmmm …….this doesn’t quiet have the ring of its South American counterpart – that supposedly makes you march a lot :) , but it will have to do .
I discovered a while ago that if you soak your cups and cutlery in a solution of washing powder and water , it totally and utterly , removes all the stains completely.
So I took a bag of washing powder to work with me today , to clean up all the stuff I have there - I then walk in to the office with a Ziploc bag full of white powder and then ask if anybody want’s some , and wonder why I get a load of horrified looks…….
They must have all been Columbians :)

Ye of Little Faith
Well - three of us came to the separate conclusions at work - yesterday , that we all fancied a half day holiday .Christine our admin’ gal just went ahead and took it while Keith and I just waited till we saw the first rays of the current bun ( sun ), before committing .
Unfortunately - It remained cloudy all day yesterday , but I reckoned it was to be a nicer day tomorrow , and of course this was to be held against me by Keith - . especially as it dawned very , very cloudy – today., as the rest of the morning was taken up sorting out a problem caused by two of our amateur , but very enthusiastic staff - connecting a piece of equipment up - wrongly .
I reckon trades people in general, must just love putting right the problems caused by these - amateur enthusiasts, especially the bit at the end when they produce the large bill , to the embarrassed customer .
I will have a go at most things , but call me a realist if you like , as I do realise when I’m out of my depth , and will then leave it to the professionals , especially as the problem we had could have been avoided, and we would be £510.00 richer as a consequence.
Ok back to the start ……did the sun shine on the righteous …..?????????????...
You f**king bet it did ……” current buns ” …….all round………:)

残念なことに - このまま、すべての昨日は1日曇り、しかし、私はそれをよりよい明日にされたreckoned、そしてもちろん、これは私に対してキースが開かれる予定だった - 。特にが明けて、非常に曇り - 今日、午前中の残りの問題として2つの我々アマチュアの原因を整理して、非常に熱心なスタッフが撮影された - 設備までのピースを接続する - 誤って。
私は一般的には、単に恥ずかしい顧客へのときには大規模な札を製造する権利の問題、これらの作品 - アマチュアの愛好家は、最後に、特にビット引き起こさ、パッティング好きでなければならない取引の人数える。
私はほとんどの事で行く必要がありますが、私が現実主義者の場合のようなコールとして、私は自分の深さを留守にして実現するかして、専門家に、特に我々は問題を回避されている可能性があったのままになる、私たちは£ 510.00豊かな帰結としてだろう。

Seasonal Crossing
I know its probably a very small thing in your eyes . but I’m riding along this morning thinking its been a bit of an achievement battling all through last winter on my mountain bike .
Yes there was the odd occasion , I bottled out of riding , mainly due to the deep snow and black ice , but I did make it through the worst winter in 30 years virtually unscathed , well except for the pulled muscles in my shoulder when I fell off a few months ago.
The winter seems to have been very long this year , and I’m reminded that it actually started snowing on the 17th Dec , and seems to have been snowing ever since :)
Today seems to make it all worth it – though.
……..cleaving the half dawn light ………an eternal wash of pastel in a narrowing monochrome ocean ……the running wolves of winter still nipping at my heels………
………in a last breath of chill ……….
Now - I’m not a great Tolkien fan, but a line I do remember from Lord of the Rings seems to sum it all up , a lot better than I can…..”running wolves” ….indeed ….!!! :)
Anyway - this was spoken by Worm Tongue , one of the less salubrious characters from the story to Eowen from The Riders of Rohan , and its so powerful it actually stops her in her tracks - momentarily …….well before she cleaves his head off……

Yes there was the odd occasion , I bottled out of riding , mainly due to the deep snow and black ice , but I did make it through the worst winter in 30 years virtually unscathed , well except for the pulled muscles in my shoulder when I fell off a few months ago.
The winter seems to have been very long this year , and I’m reminded that it actually started snowing on the 17th Dec , and seems to have been snowing ever since :)
Today seems to make it all worth it – though.
……..cleaving the half dawn light ………an eternal wash of pastel in a narrowing monochrome ocean ……the running wolves of winter still nipping at my heels………

Now - I’m not a great Tolkien fan, but a line I do remember from Lord of the Rings seems to sum it all up , a lot better than I can…..”running wolves” ….indeed ….!!! :)
Anyway - this was spoken by Worm Tongue , one of the less salubrious characters from the story to Eowen from The Riders of Rohan , and its so powerful it actually stops her in her tracks - momentarily …….well before she cleaves his head off……

To Whom it May Concern.............
A question –
How do you normally start a formal letter , and this is not a trick question – I’m just interested .
Now - certainly in the recent past all letters were usually addressed - Dear Sir , with Madam being a fairly recent addition , although if you address a woman as being a madam- now a days , it usually means she is in charge of a house of ill repute :)
That aside - I usually start mine - Dear Sir / Madam , but this is apparently - sexist too , as the man is first , but sexism works both way’s , and we cannot have the woman first – either - a point the people who come up with this claptrap- oh so - conveniently forget
So what can we use instead , ok how about -
To Whom it may Concern - unfortunately this is a very stiff and impersonal way of addressing a letter , if I’ve ever heard one , and this type of beginning is usually concerned with complaints too , so it doubly gives off odd vibes right from the start .
Ok what about - Dear John - or maybe not , as you’d probably have people committing suicide before they had even read the letter !!!
Ok… ok… ok ………..what about ……..Hey Motherf**king Hoe !!! …..
…………although this is probably - racist and sexist- throw the n word in there and you have racist too :)
Right here’s my own personal favourite ( not ) –
Dear , Fellow - Non Gender Specific , Human Being of Various Creed , Colour and Sexuality , who May or May Not be Disabled………blah…blah…blah …………..

Spies in the Skies
I was looking at Google Earth the other week , and noticed their 365 degrees photography car had been down our street, so of course curiosity got the better of me
It looked like the photograph taken outside my house , had been taken last August
( 2009) , on a Wednesday , at about 8.00am :)
………….Hmmmm …….that’s very precise I hear you all thinking , especially as there is no time or date index on the photographs .
Well - the trees and flowers indicate the month , sun position and the fact peoples cars were still on their drives - the approximate time, and the fact that the dustbins are on peoples drives means its a Wednesday – simple :)
One of our guy’s at work – Steve hates people knowing anything about him , so we got Google Earth up on the computer – today , and said to Steve ……..
…………“ wanna see a photo of your house”…………..
and then of course it was then a case of ………
…“how has a photograph of my house got on the net !!! ” …………….
…………etc …etc …etc…. .
Now - what Steve didn’t know was the innocent photograph of his house had been screen shot and Photo shopped , so there was now a photo of him actually in the Goole Earth shot , and then it was a case of the old ” look over there” magicians trick , as the screen shot then mysteriously appeared ………………..
Now to say he went - absolutely and utterly f**king ballistic , is an understatement , especially as the photograph , was a cut and paste job of “him” , looking out of the window with no clothes on ………… :)
World War Three definitely - ensued , with accusations of invasions of privacy , police states , threats to sue Bill Gates - camp outside his house , and then publish photographs of him on the net without his permission …….etc …….etc …….etc…:)
We did eventually tell him ……well it is Friday……….after all ……:)

... ..."どのように私の家の写真がネット上で得た！ "... ... ... ... ... ...。
... ... ... ...など...など...など...。 。
今 - スティーブ彼の家の罪のない写真がされてスクリーンショットや写真買い物をされたかを知らなかったので、すぐに彼の写真は、グール地球のショットを実際にして、それは古い"見た目以上のケースだったがある"手品のトリックとして、画面が不思議... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..出演ショット
今では、行ったと言って - 絶対とは全くf **王弾道、控え目に言って、写真を中心として、されているカット"を貼り付ける仕事だった彼に"上の服を着て窓の外を見... ... ... ... ...：）
一次世界大戦3は間違いなく - プライバシーの侵害の告発で、ビルゲイツ氏を訴えると警察国家は、脅威続いた - キャンプも家の外をクリックし、ネット上で本人の許可なしに彼の写真を公開する... ...。モニュメント等... ...。モニュメント等... ... ... 。モニュメント等...：）
我々は、最終的に彼を... ...と話してくれた...でもそれは金曜日... ... ... ...すべての後に... ...：）

Amnesiacs “r” Us
I had a bit of a laugh to myself – mainly in the fact that it is very slowly dawning on all the politicians here in the U.K.- that people may not vote in the next election on a large scale , and it seems they are really, really at a loss as to why people are doing this.- supposedly ……………sceptical me ????.....surely not :)
I reckon, I could be incredibly generous and write a comprehensive list just to remind them all , but to be honest , I can’t really spare the months and months it would take to compile It , although do the words ……………….
…...”duck and house” ……
……….make anything spring to the “amnesiacs” minds – maybe :)
These thoughts were probably tripped off by a B.B.C. program in which you got
Ex ?? Tory Minister Ann Widdecombe , who looks and acts like a cross between a Fascist Dictator and a bossy Junior school teacher , walking around - capturing hold of members of the public and………….
……………… “demanding to know why they are not voting “
Well I’ve only got one thing to say to you Ann………duck houses …:)
To be honest - I personally wouldn’t vote if they sent a limousine full of scantily dressed women around to collect me , and take me to the polling station , as that would be totally and utterly sexist – wouldn’t it :)

Works Both Ways.........................
I’m reading the autobiography of a self confessed racist at the moment …!!!...
…..and I bet your first thoughts are …. who could this possibly be ???.............
The title is a clue in itself , in that it implies that the person in question is not white- …..surprised ???……….. well not as surprised as you are going to be , and for anyone who takes notice of my reading list , this narrows it down even further , and no its not Richard Sorge – Stalin’s Spy – either :).
I’m still keeping this person’s identity very close to my chest - for the moment :)
I think we can all be narrow minded at times , especially if you are at the sharp end of people’s terrible attitudes and behaviour , but are we any better than they are - if we then blame all the people involved for a tiny minorities ignorance - i.e. brand a whole race of people as being bad .
This again - is part of the blame culture that we all indulge in to prove our point , but how far back do you want to go with this – The Second World War , British Imperialism , The Spanish Inquisition , Genghis Khan …………………….
…………oh f**k it - lets try the guy who tipped the money lender tables over ……
………..and bring religion in to the equation………..or maybe not :)

Now after this revelation - I’ll turn it all around to - if it were some one who is white in question - would your opinion change - from oppressed to the oppressor - I just wonder , and again this is simply because of skin colour and all the taboos associated with it .
Regardless of who it is , and I personally don’t care if it’s a Llittle Green Man from Mars - any justification for ideals based on racism , must be in my opinion be at least be - personal and recent - none of which are apparent in the book – unfortunately , as you simply cannot use history or indeed , other people’s experiences as a reason.

The title is a clue in itself , in that it implies that the person in question is not white- …..surprised ???……….. well not as surprised as you are going to be , and for anyone who takes notice of my reading list , this narrows it down even further , and no its not Richard Sorge – Stalin’s Spy – either :).
I’m still keeping this person’s identity very close to my chest - for the moment :)
I think we can all be narrow minded at times , especially if you are at the sharp end of people’s terrible attitudes and behaviour , but are we any better than they are - if we then blame all the people involved for a tiny minorities ignorance - i.e. brand a whole race of people as being bad .
This again - is part of the blame culture that we all indulge in to prove our point , but how far back do you want to go with this – The Second World War , British Imperialism , The Spanish Inquisition , Genghis Khan …………………….
…………oh f**k it - lets try the guy who tipped the money lender tables over ……

Boing................
Well I’ve decided in my own tiny little mind it’s now ………….Spring :)
So I reckon its time to switch to my lighter mountain biking gear - only to find yesterday morning seemed colder than the rest of the winter put together , although the sight of the approaching dawn did warm my spirits up if nothing else .
There’s an English saying which goes…. “ don’t cast a clout till May is out “……
which basically means - keep your thermals on until May., but mine - as I say are already stored away in the cupboard marked ……“don’t open till next winter “.:)
I’m a pretty hot blooded person as a rule , hence I tend to ride all year round in
shorts , and if you ever see me in a jumper - the next ice age is probably round the corner :)
I don’t know if its just me , but it smells different out there , and the nearest I can compare it to is Autumn, which sounds odd , but then again I suppose it could be the place warming up and releasing the smell of leaves , and it certainly makes a change from the frosty air - though .
I was actually inspired by the journey in today to write a little , and here it is -
Visions of Spring

My dream of Spring begins – anew , as the seasonal waiting game now plays its unspoken part on the stage of life - wholly evaporating the bleak cloak of winter in to a dream of new hope , with every passing day.
Subdued comfort of a gradual rise through the polarised mass of cluttered commercialism - slowly banishing the now fleeting frosts to inevitability, as the diminishing darkness is now inscribed by unseen hands with the fine threads of change.
The steady aroma of ages , permeates all my senses as the ocean , with an un seasonal Autumnal dryness , the slight tinge of winters chill , still ever present in the passing moment …….. but soon to pass ………………

原則として私は一年中に乗る傾向にある私はかなり熱い涙もない人、それ故に
ショーツ、もし今までのジャンパで私を参照して - おそらく角を曲がった所は次の氷河期に：）

....COME BACK ALL IS FORGIVEN..............

Errrr ……….I somehow don’t think the words to that particular song are strictly correct :) , but to be honest, it really sums up the British attitude towards patriotism in general .
Whilst we may not be patriotic , we do have a strong sense of the past - here , which I do personally like.
Take Britannia herself – a Roman goddess .
Now – when the Romans conquered a country , they usually re – named it after one their own deities , and in our case it seems to have stuck , as one of the many names for this country is of course - Great Britain.
You can of course - have The United Kingdom if you wish , although what their citizens would be called , escapes me - Kingdomites – maybe :), and then you have all the individual countries England , Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland , but as it happens - Britannia only really applied to England, as the rest were deemed too dangerous to mess with…….. still are………. :)

The more modern depiction of Britannia , is of a woman - dressed in battle garb with a spear and shield - bearing the Union Jack , and this image used to be on nearly all of our coinage , but it seems she is now being - totally removed after 300 years !!!
Now of course , I’m just wondering why………………………………….
It can’t be sexism as Britannia is a woman , although racism is a distinct possibility - as the only known Roman depiction of Britannia is in…… * GASP *…..white !!! …. plaster………. f**k me….. better call out The Political Correctness Police , and send them back in a time machine to correct that one :)
Hmmmm ……talking of political correctness ………she could have possibly been a
gay disabled lesbian, as nothing says otherwise :) , so I reckon we should get these people who want her removed - in court for sexism and oppressing a minority .
The fact that Britannia is a mythological figure , probably won’t register – either :)

Who – What – Where – Why !!!
I’ve been asked how do I get all the inspiration for writing all this stuff on a daily basis , and my answer is ……. .
…………………….it just happens :)
This - like most things I do is definitely - half assed , as you can all probably tell , but then again if I’m serious ……….I’m dangerous ……. and you don’t want that :)
There are certain things I tend to steer away from on here , like – totally outrageous topics and behaviour , my D.J.ing exploits , and personal details , which are all for obvious reasons, but otherwise anything else goes.
What I will say is - for every one blog that appears , I reject probably at least two or three others , because of this.
I try my best to make them as varied as possible , going from serious - world topics to my own interests , opinions and personal experiences , which is mainly to try and inject a little humour in to the proceedings , but to be honest I will write about absolutely anything that catches my interest.
You can tell when I have writers block , as I write things like this , or the subject matter becomes absolutely ridiculous , but then again that invites loads of …….
………errrrrr……….reader participation ???……………………………………….
……ok , ok - I’ll admit it ………. hate mail ………. which I don’t mind :)
Then there’s my “wonderful “ titles, which are usually - song lyrics or quotations although I have been know to come up with some myself :) , but if you look carefully , even they do actually fit with the topic, albeit in a roundabout way, so I had at least ……hmmmmmm…..two seconds thought about it :)
There is of course a big plus point to this in my own life , as actually writing something down and analysing it , can occasionally change the way I think about certain things , and of course this improves my own spelling , punctuation and bad use of English – several fold…………….
………………………witch can onley be a gud thing……. :)

これは通常ですそれから、私の""素晴らしいのタイトルは、 - 歌の歌詞や引用はいえ、私されているいくつかを考え出すを知っている自分自身：）が、もし注意深くても、実際には、トピックと、フィットしないよう遠回しにもかかわらずので、少なくとも... ... hmmmmmm ... .. 2秒それについて考えていた：）
として、実際に何かを書き、それを分析し、時折、私は思うの方法を変更することができますが、もちろんこれには大きなプラスポイントを自分自身の生活の中では、約特定の事柄、そしてもちろん、これは私自身のスペル、句読点、および英語の不正な使用を向上 - いくつかの倍... ... ... ... ... ... ...。

Solutions “ r ” Us ???
Well today’s problems are –
A U.K. defence budget deficient of £10 million - the solution - pull all the troops out of Afghanistan .
Secondly - the fact that the banks still paying big bonuses to their staff , but not lending any money to anyone - the solution - stop ALL the bonuses and use the money as loans to the public - who baled them out of the financial crisis – just in case they need reminding :) .
Oh yeah – while I think on - a tiny bit of financial legislation wouldn’t probably go amiss in this situation – either :, with decency and honesty being – optional :)
World peace and hunger ??? , well - I’ll have to leave that to the politicians for the moment - as its far too hard for me to sort out :) , and anyway , I’m quiet selfishly - booking my holidays – today
Japan as you all know is my chosen destination , in a few months , but I’ve also decided to have a look to Malta in the summer , and hire a …….
……errrrrr…..and If I say this very , very quickly you probably won’t notice …
………………a scooter…:)………. see you never even noticed :)
Ok onwards ….:) ……….and this is to go look at the local historical sites - don’t know why - I just fancy it :)

The Slippery Slope - Begins :)
Well its certainly getting lighter on a morning , which is probably just as well as the lights are off on the cycle track - making my journey to work , a little dark to say the least :)
Yes that’s right - I’m riding the country way to work so it must be Spring , but the frozen stones bouncing up off the cycle track rather like hard rain - say otherwise , as does the total frosty, white out in the fields.

Luckily the moon has been very clear and big over the past two days- lighting my
way , . but seeing as it was slightly cloudy - today, it had a very yellow tinge to it, making it look very old and atmospheric, which isn’t really a good thing for me , as I tend to ride along on my bike - one handed looking at it , and just hope that there is nothing in the gloom – ahead , as I do so.
One of these days I’ll end up with a Deer as a mascot on my handlebars :),
Talking of near misses , I’ve got a question to ask - in the light of several recent incidents - and that is ………
…………” do you actually need a driving licence to drive a Citroen “……
Yes that’s right - I’ve nearly been crunched several times by the aforementioned cars , and hence my cheeky question :) …….
………….hmmmmmm…… maybe they all drive along one handed, in the dark, looking at the moon - too :)

I have talked about electric vehicles on here a few times, and yes they are a fantastic idea , but unfortunately I came to the conclusion that they would have to have a far greater range , and styling - that didn’t look like a five year old’s - art project , before I’d even consider buying one .
Now with this in mind - I noticed there was a massive blaze of publicity about us starting to use electrically powered pool cars , on our works intranet a few weeks
ago , and this included an invitation to test drive these vehicles of the future , with their clean emission free motors ..……blah ……..blah ……..blah …………….
……………….continues manufacturers publicity material………………..:)
So I just happened to be looking out of the window – today , when the first
“car of the future” actually arrived - but unfortunately not in the aforementioned - blaze of publicity , but on the back of a breakdown truck – not working .
So that’s one nil to the oil companies :)
Unfortunately it gets even worse - as It then transpired that the rest of the gleaming futuristic fleet , couldn’t be used – either , as the robot in charge had forgotten to road register them all ……………. WOOOPS…... :)

A Tale of Two People
It turns out a work colleague of mine is also reading Barak Obama ‘s Biography , and after talking to him , I only just realised - I’m actually reading the early years , and he the latter years , so we can’t even swap notes on the books – never mind :).
When I read a biography, I personally find the early years of someone’s life more interesting , and I love trying to work that in to the person they have become , plus the fact I love social history be it 15 or 150 years ago.
So it looks like I have - inadvertently chosen the correct book :)
I don’t think I’ll read the next issue , which in essence - details his “ political years” as I find politics and politicians highly uninteresting , as you all have all probably worked out by now :) .No - seriously , this is mainly because - I reckon the first book has certainly given me all the information I need to know about the real person , as that’s what it is all about , in my opinion.
The cult of personality is a well known ideal , and there is certainly some of this in the story , but saying that we all tend to cover up our short comings , especially in an authorised publication - its just human nature to do so. Thus taking all things as being the truth is probably not a good idea , but I think you can possibly get the gist of a person – regardless of the glossing over –exercise
The “ political glossing over “ in the book , certainly seems most apparent to me in the “everything to everyman “ – ideal , as we can’t have the President of The United States calling someone a motherf**ker – can we ……
…………wooops…. we did………
……censors must have missed that one – huh :)
……again this is something we all do, and of course - fall victim to :)
Human nature – huh - don’t you just love it :)
Talking of human nature - the guy on this morning sports news , said that if there was an Olympic gold medal for complaining about the weather – we in the U.K. would win it ……. hands down……it’s.so true :)
