You’d think by the way I go on , that I sit and watch television all the time , and I must admit I watched three consecutive programs on Sunday night , which believe it or not is very , very unusual for me :):
They were the usual collection of sublime to the ridiculous subjects - ranging from science fiction - through antiques !!! - to finally - a motoring program.
The science fiction element was Dr Who - something I’d written off due to
Russell .T. Davies involvement, as his writing style being more suited to soap
operas than sci fi to be honest .
So in the light of the news that he has been nearly thrown off the show , I thought I’d give it a go , and apart from the soap opera “ pass the bucket “ moments obviously still written by Russell - I did quiet like the episode. There is also talk of the guy who wrote Blink , which is without doubt the best ever episode of the resurrected series , taking over the writing in the new series after my old mate - Russell has been ejected after the Xmas special …………
…..merry xmas … Russ and don’t f**king come back …………:)
The Antiques program - I suppose - was viewed by default as it was filmed in my part of the world , with the magnificent Bowes Museum being the backdrop , so I suppose I just watched it out of idle curiosity more than anything else , and no - antiques - although I do appreciate them , are not one of my new interests , so don’t even think it :)
The Lamborghini Murcielago on the other hand - well that’s a different story , and if anyone has a spare one in ………..hmmmm….. lets think……….
………..eyeball searing orange :) ………for example ……. that they don’t want - I’ll certainly find a good home for it :)
Yes that’s right - the boys from motoring program - Top Gear have been testing super cars – yet again , and apparently this particular series is shipped everywhere around the world bar the U.S.A. for some strange reason , but I suspect its probably due to their antics over there in previous series – look it up - as I’m not going to insult our Transatlantic cousins by recounting these tales - as what’s funny here , certainly isn’t over there.
Oh go on then twist my arm ……………………
