Now this is a title of a track by 80’s rockers Twisted Sister, for those who don’t know.
Twisted Sister were a rock / metal - band , comprising a gang of 6 ft plus guys who wore make up and strange clothes , which I suppose is nothing out of the ordinary in those days , but to be honest - they weren’t really taken seriously because of their image , and simply disappeared in to metal history along with a lot of bands from that era.
The fact that their video’s were all comedy too , didn’t exactly fuel the serious image - either - but saying that they weren’t exactly Spinal Tap or Bad News .
Now there seems to be a bit of a resurrection of this type of music ………
…..SHOCK HORROR ……. what with bands like Motley Crue touring recently and a band called Steel Panther doing the rounds , which I heard somebody in the office talking about the other day - which is fair enough – considering :)
Errrrrr …….dare I mention the fact that I’ve been talked in to going to see
Glam metal (sters) - Faster Pussycat and Enuffz Enuff ………..
……right that’s ok …….……but don’t tell anybody :)
Saying this - you can imagine my surprise today as I heard the strains of…..
……I Wanna Rock ….coming from the office , especially as this
particular office is usually occupied by our sworn enemies – the Bed Wetters !!! :)
So I walk in and say …..
……..“what’s going on here – have you lot - ran out of beds to piss in “ :)
I’m not a metal sterotype ……… honest ………
……continues in Spinal Tap , Bad News or any other spoof metal movie …… playing somewhere near you :)
