I think my Sports Centre has finally clicked on after all these years that a good proportion of women actually use the Centre , so one of the three television stations has now been thrown over to the fairer sex , in the shape of The Craft Channel , leaving B.B.C 1 and Sky Sports on the other two.
It’s amazing how mesmerizing this craft channel actually is, as you seen a lot of guy’s intently watching this station , but quickly averting their eyes to the sports channel , commenting on “ the rugby score” , as their macho Police colleagues walk in , and of course I’m half tempted to say to them -
“ so what do you think of the buy of the day , all those inks and card making material certainly seem very good value to me “ :)
The three televisions in the gym have no sound on them , so you have to plug earphones in to get it - hence all you are getting are pictures , so the card making demonstrations are straightforward , but the adverts are another thing , as you have to imagine the dialog…………………..
One particular advert is for a U.K. organisation called The Co- op ( pronounced
coe - opp , and not coop as in chicken ) , who have amid many other business interests , a chain of shops selling food , and their current tag line for this part of the business is ………
………” The Co-op ……….Good - with Food “ ………………..
Which is self explanatory , but they have also recently started advertising their funeral services , so would the tagline for this one be ………
………“ The Co-op ………..Good – with Death “ ………………???
………..or maybe not :)
