Well after watching the latest episode of the B.B.C ’s Dr Who on Saturday night, its almost as if its ex - producer /director/writer - Russell T .Davies has never actually left the show !!!
What with an ongoing weak storyline and cheap laughs, if I were a conspiracy theorist , I’d say it was still him still writing this rubbish - but under a pen name, although I am assured he is now being currently - inflicted , upon the good people of the U.S.A. ……………GOD HELP YOU………… :)
The new doctor character is actually - fine , but an assistant that’s a stereotypical imitation redhead , who just happens to be a ………. and wait for this a…………… .

To be honest - there is definitely - no actual depth to the storyline at all , and as
for the………….
……………. “one man and his dog “……monster……
…………………well ……that says it all …doesn’t it :) .
I’m not really sure what audience Dr Who is actually aimed at , and going off what I’ve seen so far , it’s probably the average ten year old child with a two second attention span , although saying that - the short skirted - strip a gram- element , certainly - say’s otherwise .
So is this a case of the B.B.C. still trying to cover every base in a typical - politically correct - Russell T Davies - style , and in doing so - failing miserably on all levels with a total and utterly disjointed mess – probably .
There is however some light at the end of the tunnel for us “proper” sci fi fans , as in the five or six years that the new Dr Who has been running there was at least one good episode , and that was entitled - Blink , and the writer of that particular episode is in the new series
So I’ll postpone the new series - judgement till then , and go try The V - remake on the sci fi Channel , although knowing my luck our American friends will have recruited …………Russell. T. Davies ………..to re – write it ………….:)
