Now is it just me , or are the rest of the U.K. Populous already bored to the hind teeth by the be- suited criminals trying to persuade you to vote for them . I turned on the news on yesterday and was uninterested after a whole five seconds !!! .
In fact it got so bad - I even wished Saturdays episode of Dr Who was on instead :)
Now there’s a thought - You could have a sci fi series involving politicians , although that would consist solely of their schoolyard arguing about absolutely - nothing , as the menacing alien fleet approached earth ……….. who then probably thought …….
……….” F**KING HELL.. !!! - were not getting involved with that lot “……
…………and promptly zoomed off back to Uranus in their star ships :)
The irony being - no one would have actually - noticed :)

Well I think my local Sports Centre has now been converted to a covert - secret agents facility - overnight :)
This is because it has now gone from being a show your membership card to the guy on the desk to get in – type of place , to a swipe card - high security facility .
You now have to swipe the card not once , but twice - through two separate barriers to get in, and of course I cheekily asked the guy on the desk - if I also had to sign the official secrets act ……….which went over his head :)
Anyway - The first barrier is to get in the main door , and after changing you have to swipe a second to get in to the gym , and this made me wonder how sweat proof these cards actually are , but more importantly – how water proof - as you will no doubt leave it in your shorts pockets , only to see it swimming around in the washing machine on the spin cycle :)
I’ve not got very much confidence in the above , as judging by the number of people bouncing off the barriers , as a slight piece of dust stopped the cards opening , plus the fact that the swipe system is about 3 feet ( 1m) from the gym door , and you have what seems like a micro second to get from one to the other before the system
re - sets :)
Now to get out is a much “simpler” process - if you can actually find the carefully camouflaged - door release buttons – masquerading as a drawing pin on the notice board , or alternatively - so far down the barrier you have to be the size of a two year old child , to actually see it :)
My own thesis on this system - is its not a load of cheap second hand rubbish installed on a whim :) , but as The Sports Centre is officially part of The Police Training Facility , its got to be some kind of stealthy intelligence test / game show ,
as there’s nothing as funny as a fat copper bouncing off a locked door is there……
