Rather than just complain about the recession – I’ve actually got a simple answer
to it –
My lines of thinking are –
The banks that the British taxpayers bailed out , are now of course happily making enough money again to pay their staff huge bonuses again - if the press are to be believed.
So if that’s the case - why don’t the banks bail the country out of recession - seem’s only fair to me :)
Yes I am aware its not as simple as that , as for example – the current financial systems has governments borrowing from banks - hence the national debt , but I do suspect that this borrowing probably attracts huge interest rates , and I just wonder if the bank bail out exercise had the same rates , or was it just a straight loan , I suspect the latter .
So it seems to me the taxpayers seems to lose out in both of these transactions .
Changing to a global perspective –
What these banks must remember - when they start spouting their own self importance , that they would simply not exist if it wasn’t for taxpayers around the world .
Just remember it was their actions that tripped off this awful recession in the first place , so complaining about a lack of bonuses cuts no ice with me , considering the amount of human misery - their actions have caused and indeed , are still causing .
So get you hands in your pockets – boys :)
Two Statements and an Argument .
--------------------------------------------------------
This title actually reads like a British comedy film , but like real life as opposed to fiction – you simply couldn’t write it :)
This as you all know is the sum total of day three of the Climate Conference , and the world stopping statements are –
“emissions cause climate change ” and “we need to use sustainable sources of energy”
So - tell us something we ALL haven’t actually been aware of , probably since the 1960’s , and of course - the arguing has now started amid the petulant little children .……….. happily fiddling as Rome burns …….!!!
There is of course a glaringly simple solution to this one too – remove all of those with vested interests from the conference table , and place true representatives of the world in their places , and while I’m at it …make them all young people too :) …....
…………………….not too much to ask – is it :)
