I thought I’d ease myself gently back in to this writing malarkey - other wise I’d be writing gibberish – well more so than usual :)

Last Friday’s “ raid ” over the Scottish Border to Aero Leathers to buy my jacket was going fine……….
……..well right up to the point - I saw the dual flag posts of England and Scotland together on the border , except there was one thing wrong - the Scot’s flag was flying proudly in the breeze but the English flag was on the ground , well the part of it that was still left - when someone had obviously - set fire to it . ………….
……makes a change from the American flag ….steady there my Yankee friends …:)
I could sense hostility ahead - as I placed the Scottish flag - sticker on my car , and put my kilt and tam -o- shanter ( tartan skirt and hat ) on , before crossing the border - giving the gruff looking pyromaniac truckers, wearing their “ Scotland The Brave “ T shirts a very cheery ……
…………. “ hoots y aright mon “ ………..( are you ok – mate )
………..as I passed in to heavily occupied territory ……
The memories of Highland clearances , atrocities by the English several hundred years ago , and of course - International football results , were obviously still fresh in these parts , so I had to tread very , very carefully - honing my Scottish accent as I went along - as I’d have to engage in a conversation with the hostile locals to actually buy my jacket………
Think I’d better stop here - as I don’t want any more hate mail , especially from

Aero leathers are as it turned out are absolutely and utterly – brilliant , and Will it’s owner showed me their extensive range of A2 jackets and the various hides that they can make them from , he mentioned in passing that the Talon zips were actually made in Japan - cue a conversation which lasted for ages about our own various experiences there ……
I actually bought a jacket but surprisingly - forwent the tartan lining , which ironically - my own surname - actually allows me to have .
