I will not be riding hundreds of miles in the rain on my Harley , standing in a cold wet muddy field for three days , paying for the privilege of getting - food poisoning
and / or dysentery , and of course …having to suffer the wannabee’s……YUK :)

Seriously - the main reason for not going - is none of the above - as I’m sure you’ll all agree its all part of the festival “charm” :) , but the much more “serious” :) point of……… I have already seen the majority of bands on the bill – several times , and this is probably like a lot of you hardened rock fans out there.
Now - I’m not sure whether this is indicative of a stagnant music scene , or the fact it seems every old rock band under the sun , has reformed and then decided to
tour , and this one definitely falls in to the “ been there , done that , and ( literally) got the t shirt “ category , with me , and again - probably a lot of you out there .
I don’t mind going to see the odd old band , as I’ve said in the past , but when it gets to the point of the bill being full of them , sprinkled with the odd modern band you have seen several times , it becomes not worth it , especially as the ticket cost , travel . food … etc… etc… can run in to hundreds of ££££……….
Think I’ll just save my money , and go to several live houses in Tokyo - instead , to watch a Japanese hardcore band smashing the spotlights out with a microphone , in the equivalent of someone front room – much more entertaining – well apart from the glass in the face :)
