I see our esteemed M.P’s are now being actually forced by their respective political parties to pay back the money they defrauded from the taxpayer , during the recent expenses row in the U.K……hence the advert above …… which I would not normally run , but these poor guy’s must be down to their last few million by now :)
Anyway - there is apparently still a deep reluctance within M.P’s ranks to pay this money back, and there has - amid all their arrogant bluster - been talk of court cases to stop them paying back their ill gotten gains.
Hmmmmm………criminals using the justice system - probably at the taxpayers expense, to stop themselves handing their stolen money back , what ever next - the authorities asking bank robbers to pay their stolen money back , and that would be the end of it all – surely not :)
There is I suppose a good side to this , in that - none of the political parties in this country remain unscathed by this scandal , so absolutely none of them can take the moralistic high ground on this issue – thank heaven :)
In view of all of the above - I saw a highly apt phrase a while ago - which went along the lines of……………
…………Guy Fawkes was the only honest man to ever enter Parliament …………..
………and I just wonder if he was maybe going to buy the duck house… :)
