I mentioned a while ago that I started translating my various scribblings in to Japanese on my blog spot , but after all this time you would have thought I’d have realised that - ironic English humour does not really carry very well over international borders , which is in itself - understatement of the week :)
This actually reminds me of an old Star Trek episode - where Jean Luc Picard is stranded on a planet with an alien , who is obviously speaking English , but you cannot understand what on earth they are saying ., in that the words are correct - but the sentences them selves , simply make no sense .
Well that is until its explained – that they are actually using to anecdotes
( experiences ) to communicate with , and its only then - that , it all falls in to place as you look at it from a totally different perspective.
Who ever wrote this particular episode has obviously got a sense of the individuals- differing perspectives on life in general , and I reckon this definitely applies to humour too , which is probably why we find each others humour so difficult to understand , well that is - unless it’s explained………….

The Art of Conservatism.

Now there’s an odd title , especially as you usually do not connect conservatism with modern art in any shape or form , anyway - read on to find out why ………
I saw yet another interesting B.B.C program about modern art the other night , and it focussed on Andy Warhol this time , and this must have been in the back of my mind as the entries to this years Turner Prize ( for modern art ) was announced

That aside - I reckon Andy’s work is highly iconic , but in a take it or leave it fashion .
I loved his non pretentious attitude , when being asked to describe what it was all about , and the program itself , actually hit the nail right on the head , by saying that Warhol followed the lead of classical artists before him, in that all their art reflected the time they lived in – simple as that, and hence his own the focus on consumerism
Now - this years Turner Prize entries -
Well there’s surprisingly no - unmade beds , sharks / sheep in formaldehyde or even store rooms with the lights flashing on and off ………..absolutely shocking ……….:)
Instead we have ………… conservative is the new Avant – garde…. !!!.........
So can we see maybe - a neat and tidy - made bed , a happy gold fish in a nice bowl of water , or maybe even a storeroom with the light…….*GASP*…….
………………………not flashing on and off :)
…with the artists - all dressed in beige sweaters and brown cords ……
…………………sorry I’ve just feinted – here …..*swoon*…….:)
No seriously - go hunt down this years entries, and regardless of what the art looks like , I’ll bet you there will be a pretentious explanation with each and every one of them.
Which I suppose in itself does reflect our own modern society - more than the art itself - albeit totally and utterly - unintentionally :)

まあは、そのは説明するまで - 彼らは実際の逸話を使用している

私は他の夜の現代美術についてはまだ別の興味深いBBCの番組を見た、それはアンディウォーホルこの時間集中、これが今年のターナー賞（現代芸術にエントリとして私の心の奥にされている必要があります）に発表された

それはさておき - 私はアンディの作品は非常に象徴的であると把握し、それを取るか、それを残してのファッションです。

そこで、多分見ることができます - きちんと整って - メイドベッド、水の良いボウル、または多分物置で幸せ金魚の光... ... .*実例が何* ... ...。
... ... ...オフにすると点滅していない：）
...アーティスト - すべてのベージュセーターと茶色のコードを着て... ...
... ...私はfeintedて申し訳ありません - ここに... ..*気絶* ... ...：）
真剣に - この年のエントリダウン、狩りに行くと関係なく、アートがどのようなもので、私はそこに、各それらの一つ一つにうぬぼれた説明されることを賭ける。
私はそれ自体が想定我々自身の現代社会を - 芸術そのもの - にもかかわらずより反映して全面的に全く - 誤って：）
